RESCUED BY THE BLOOD

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.”Ephesians 1:7 (NIV)*

The blood of Jesus is more than a symbol it is the foundation of our faith and the reason we have hope. In the Old Testament, animal sacrifices were required to cover sins. These sacrifices had to be repeated regularly, reminding the people of their constant need for cleansing. But Jesus came to bring a better covenant. Through His blood, He didn’t just cover our sins He removed them completely.

*“Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” Hebrews 9:22 (NIV)*

When Jesus gave His life on the cross, He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice, once and for all. His blood was poured out so that we could be forgiven, redeemed, and made new. We didn’t earn this gift. It wasn’t because of our goodness or works. It was purely because of God’s mercy and love.

*“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”*  *Romans 5:8 (NIV)*

This truth is deeply personal. Jesus saw us at our worst lost, broken, and guilty and still chose to rescue us. His blood speaks louder than our past, our shame, or our failures. It declares us forgiven, accepted, and free. If you’ve been carrying guilt or wondering if God still loves you, remember: the blood of Jesus is proof that He does.

Not only does His blood forgive us, but it also gives us victory. Many Christians stop at forgiveness, but don’t walk in the freedom and authority the blood brings. Revelation 12:11 says, *“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony...”* This means we overcome the enemy not by our strength, but by the blood of Jesus and our declaration of what He has done.

There is power in the blood. Power to heal. Power to restore. Power to break every chain. When we understand this, we stop living like victims and start living as victorious sons and daughters of God. You don’t need to be perfect to come to Jesus. You just need to come. His blood is enough.
