TOUCHING JESUS WITH AIM

In our world today, we face numerous challenges that can often make us feel distant from God. Yet, there is a powerful truth that resonates through Scripture — that we can actively reach out to Jesus and experience His transforming power. "Touching Jesus with Aim" is about more than just a passive desire to be near Him; it is a focused, intentional action of faith that seeks to connect with the divine on a deeper level.

The idea of touching Jesus is not a new one. It appears multiple times in the Bible, often with profound results. One such instance is in the Gospel of Mark, where a woman, suffering from a long-term illness, reached out with complete faith in Jesus’ healing power. Her action is described in Mark 5:27-34, where she thought to herself, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed."

In this moment, the woman demonstrates a clear example of aiming her faith. She wasn’t just hoping for a casual encounter with Jesus; she knew the power He held and was determined to touch Him with the belief that it would change her life. Her aim wasn’t haphazard or unsure — it was laser-focused on the belief that Jesus could heal her.

This story teaches us something crucial: in our walk with Jesus, we must approach Him with purpose. The woman didn’t just touch Him carelessly or out of curiosity; she reached out with an aim — an intentional pursuit of healing and restoration. This is the kind of faith that moves mountains and unlocks God’s power in our lives. It is faith with aim, a faith that believes Jesus can and will do what He promises.

The Bible consistently speaks of the importance of having a clear aim when seeking God. In Hebrews 11:6, it says, "And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." When we come to Jesus, our faith must not be vague or unfocused. We must come with intention, believing that He is who He says He is and that He is capable of doing the miraculous in our lives.

Moreover, Jesus Himself emphasized the need for purpose in our pursuit of Him. In Matthew 7:7, He encourages us, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." These actions — asking, seeking, and knocking — all require intention and aim. To touch Jesus with aim means to seek Him with purpose and trust that He will respond.

As we consider our own lives and faith journeys, let us ask ourselves: Are we seeking Jesus with aim? Are we intentionally reaching out to Him with a clear belief in His power and willingness to respond? To "Touch Jesus with Aim" is to pursue Him with an unwavering, focused heart, trusting that He will meet us in our place of need.
