WALKING WITH GOD

When the Bible says that "Enoch walked with God," it tells us that his relationship with God wasn’t limited to rituals or religious observances. Enoch had a daily, living, and growing connection with the Lord. His life teaches us that walking with God requires more than belief—it demands relationship.

We walk God  by faith, not by sight. Walking with God doesn't mean we always understand where He is leading us, but it means we trust Him. Abraham walked with God when he left his homeland, not knowing where he was going. Faith is the foundation of our walk. It tells us that even if we don’t see the full picture, God does—and He is trustworthy.

We walk with God in obedience. Amos 3:3 asks, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” To walk with God, we must agree with His ways and surrender to His authority. Obedience is not about perfection; it's about direction. When we stumble, we repent and realign our steps with His. God's Word becomes a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.

Walking with God means daily fellowship. Just like we need food every day, we need spiritual nourishment. Through prayer, worship, and reading the Bible, we stay connected to God’s heart. A walk implies motion, progress, and time. We can’t expect a strong relationship with God if we only speak to Him once a week or when we're in trouble. Just as Jesus often withdrew to quiet places to pray, we must make time to be alone with the Father.

we walk with purpose. When we walk with God, our lives take on new meaning. Our values shift. Our desires align with His. We begin to live not just for ourselves but for His glory. Our walk influences others. Like salt and light, our presence in the world becomes a testimony of God’s grace.

Lastly, walking with God brings peace and joy. Even when the road is rough, we’re not walking alone. God walks with us through the valleys and on the mountaintops. His presence comforts us, strengthens us, and reminds us that we are never forsaken.

Let us strive to be like Enoch—not merely living but walking with God every day. May our steps be guided by His Spirit, and may our lives be a reflection of His love.
