THE GOD WHO OPENS DOORS

In Revelation 3:7, Jesus says, “What He opens, no one can shut  and what He shuts, no one can open.” This is a reminder that God’s authority is final. When He decides to open a door in your life, no person, no circumstance and no enemy can stand in the way.

Sometimes, we mistake a closed door for a permanent “no” from God, when in reality it might just be a “not yet.” God’s timing is perfect. He knows the exact moment to open the right door so that we are ready to walk through it. A door opened too soon might overwhelm us, but a door opened in His timing will bless us and prepare us for even greater things.

Consider the story of Paul in Acts 16:6–10. Paul wanted to preach in certain regions, but the Holy Spirit kept closing those doors. It wasn’t rejection  it was redirection. Eventually, God opened a new door for him to preach the Gospel in Macedonia, which led to the spread of Christianity in Europe. Closed doors are often God’s way of guiding us toward the right ones.

The doors God opens are not only about career opportunities or material blessings. They can also be doors to peace in the middle of chaos, restoration in broken relationships, or deeper intimacy with Him. He opens doors in our hearts to forgive, to love and to trust again.

But here’s the key  when God opens a door, we must be ready to step through in faith. Opportunities from Him often require courage, obedience, and trust. Fear and doubt may try to hold us back, but if God has opened the way, we can walk forward confidently knowing He goes before us.

If you feel stuck today, don’t force doors open in your own strength. Instead, pray for God’s guidance. Ask Him to open the doors that align with His will and close the ones that are not meant for you. Trust that His hand is working, even if you can’t see it yet.

Remember this: a door closed by man can still be opened by God. His favor can open doors in places where you have no connections. His power can make a way when every path seems blocked. And His love will ensure that every open door leads you closer to His purpose for your life.

Today, be encouraged. The same God who opened the Red Sea for Israel, who opened prison doors for Peter, and who opened the grave on Resurrection Sunday is the same God who will open doors for you. Wait patiently, walk faithfully, and watch as The God Who Opens Doors makes a way for you
